Mentors Who Impacted My LIfe

This past Thursday night, I had the privilege of attending a surprise retirement celebration for a dear mentor, Janet Brown. And I got to sit with one of my dearest mentors, Karen King and my buddy, Jim Riley.

I looked around the room, and saw so many people who Janet had impacted through the years, with me being one of them.

I thought to myself, as a leader, how have I impacted people and how do I impact people everyday? Is it in a positive way?

No one will remember the long hours, all of the audits and compliance crap you went through, the stressful moments, the sleepless nights, the tear moments, the highs, the moments when you were about to break (and no one knew it), or those moments when you were alone and you just had a good cry…

But they will remember the impact you had on their life!

The individuals in this picture shaped my career in an incredible, positive way and I am forever grateful! Thank You Janet Brown, Jim Riley and Karen King!
